Baja Sur

These shots I got during a trip to Cabo San Jose, MEX.

These shots were taken while traveling the Southern tip of the Baja Sur Peninsula and hiking the San Jose Estuary. The Estuary is a marshy lagoon covering roughly two thousand acres at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. The surrounding land is desert, and a narrow finger of white sand separates the estuary from the Sea of Cortez on the south. The estuary is fed by an underground river, the Rio San Jose, which flows from the nearby Laguna Mountains and provided sanctuary for hundreds of species of tropical and migratory birds. Although I did not have my DLSR, I thing I was still able to get some pretty nice shots with my trusty Konica Minolta point and shoot.
